Daoist Approaches to Necromancy

Most Western magical traditions that address contacting the dead do so through invocation, hierarchy, and visible action. Daoist cosmology organizes its understanding of the paranormal through the logic of Yin.
Within this framework, Yin governs negative space, residue, enclosure, delay, and descent. Necromantic influence moves through ancestral momentum, altered timing, and lingering presence rather than command or display. Continuity between the living and the dead travels through resonance and cycles of return.
This class examines Yin as a governing function and traces how necromancy operates through thresholds, intervals, and interior domains. Practical attention goes to spell structure, ancestor engagement, and resistance work, with particular focus on when withdrawal, delay, and enclosure produce more durable results than force.
Suited to practitioners trained in direct invocation or assertion who sense those approaches do not always serve necromantic or ancestor-focused work. No existing tradition needs to be set aside; what is offered here integrates into what you already practice.
