HELLO!

Mimi Young is a Taiwanese-Canadian spirit medium, diviner, occultist, and inheritor of Gongfu Tea culture, based in Vancouver on the ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

As founder of Ceremonie, she offers shamanic mediumship readings, Five Elements BaZi readings, and occult education, including courses in practical witchcraft, and divination with the I Ching, alongside an online witches coven and made-to-order occultic skincare and spiritual supplies.

Her practice stands at the intersection of animism and Daoist wisdom, rooted in 巫 (Wu), the ancient Chinese tradition of multi-disciplinary metaphysical practice. She has collaborated with goop, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Almost 30, Spirit House Collective, and Bosa Properties, and presents regularly at Salem Witch Festival. She is also a trained artist-designer and published author of A Tea Stronger Than Death, written during a residency at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.

Rigourous thinking and meaningful accessibility of participation are central to her teaching. Ceremonie's Partial Scholarship provides financial aid for long-form offerings including Homing Coven, Crafting the Arcane, and Mystery Mentorship.

Mimi is also co-founder of Hot Flash Magazine, a magazine, creative agency, and community for people navigating perimenopause and midlife, co-founded with Reanna Evoy.
