Daoist magic, invisibility spells, and spells for money

What’s covered in this Spellcasting Occult Studies Series:

    • Explores the essence of animacy in spellwork, grounding practitioners in the living energy that underlies all magical practice.

    • Daoist fundamentals, and demystifying the commonly misunderstood Yin and Yang.

    • Harnessing the 5 Daoist elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—as foundational forces for conjuring and transformation in magical workings. Who is suited for what tasks, what may counter the other, and much more.

  • A deep dive into altar spaces as dynamic, evolving expressions of intent, exploring methods, configurations and set ups, and dressings to strengthen your sacred sites of practice.

  • Delves into the botanical realm, attuning to plant spirits as potent teachers, custodians, and guardians for rituals and creating your own spiritual supplies.

Extending, we also explore earthly materials like soil and minerals, and body fluids (menstrual blood, semen, saliva, urine), for various magical workings and applications.

  • Considers the influence of temporal and spatial factors in magic, tuning into the power of timing and geographical / location-based resonance, including mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, and the famed crossroads.

  • Examines diverse structures and methods for spellcraft, offering foundational frameworks and adaptable approaches for effective magick, including petitions, sigils, spell arcs, subtractive spells, incantations, use of morphic fields, charms, and so much more.

  • Guides the practice of clearing stagnant or negative energies (including how to undo a hex), creating an open and purified currents for magick to flourish.

  • Concentrates on creating strong boundaries to protect oneself, loved ones, and spaces from harm, while providing methods to dissolve malevolent influences and redirect harmful energy back to its source.

  • Engages the Yin qualities of receptivity and the void, supporting pathfinding and road opening work.

  • Centers on spells designed to attract money, luck, prosperity, and other desired tangibles and energies.

  • Navigates the realms of love magic, from drawing affection to releasing attachments that no longer serve.

  • Spells can range from elaborate, multi-day or multi-week rituals to quick, simple practices. We explore ways to seamlessly integrate conjuring into your routine, making it accessible and manageable without feeling overwhelming.

  • Spells + Politics explores the intersection of magical practices and political activism, examining how spellwork can empower social change and influence collective movements. This session delves into the ethical considerations of using magic in political contexts, providing tools and techniques for practitioners to align their intentions with justice and equity.

“All occultism, by whatever name it is called, however imperfect in deductions, learns at last to beware of the occultist who breaks the moral law, or who, whether wilfully or carelessly, through prejudice or through crafty desire to advance his own selfish interests, closes his eyes to the truth. In other words, clear thinking and correct living are the only passport to trustworthiness in an occultist.”
    Ida Craddock

  • Explores assertive magical tactics, empowering practitioners to stand their ground and counteract hostility, including how to put a hex on someone as a form of sacred resistance, all the while discussing ethics, responsibility, activism, and necessity.

  • Invisibility Spells are designed to cloak or soften one’s presence, creating an aura of subtlety that allows the practitioner to move unnoticed or avoid unwanted attention. These spells are ideal for situations where blending in, staying under the radar, or deflecting focus is desired. Using specific herbs, intentions, and rituals, invisibility spells empower individuals to create a protective veil, enhancing discretion and personal boundaries.

  • Cultivates practices for supporting physical, emotional, and spiritual healing through intention and ritual.

Effective spellwork isn't just technique; it begins with relationality and the lived meanings of witchcraft.

According to the I Ching, opposites aren’t adversaries, rather they coexist, creating the magnetism that sustains life. Shadow (Yin) and Light (Yang) are not in conflict but part of a greater whole.

In contrast, Western frameworks often treat duality as opposition, justifying extraction and reinforcing conflict. New Age “love and light” ideals, rooted in this thinking, frequently fail those on the margins, offering privilege masquerading as spiritual truth.

Spellcasting is about taking responsibility and ownership of yourself. And then changing what needs to change.

In my practice, Taoism and spellwork meet in the pursuit of balance. Whether for blessing, healing, hexing, or uncrossing, the balance of Shadow (Yin) and Light (Yang) honours this harmony. Witchcraft can be good, bad, or neutral, depending on its intent and use, for instance, a return to sender spell may be seen as healing, but can also be categorized as a hex. When you learn with me, whether as a beginner or seasoned practitioner, you’ll sharpen your skills with an eye toward ethics and meaningful balance.
