WRONG is an eight-week interdisciplinary investigation into the shapes of accusation, mapping Yin through her most contested appearances.
The series treats each charge as a Yin expressions of the Dao; infinitesimal complex of dispositions rather than a single verdict: Darkness, Heretic, Villain and Monster, Revenge, Bane, Perversity, Pollution, Evil.
WRONG doesn't argue the charge was wrong. What the series supplies instead is the spiritual understanding behind each charge, as a way to animacy with the Yin, identity reclaiming, myth making, and magical technologies.
No acquittal offered, consider your wrongness your power.
The vastness of visible reality, which makes up roughly 5% of all reality, estimated by current science, is birthed and maintained by the primordial Yin. And for us to become more acquainted, more in-company-with, it's only possible if we first decolonize from our culture's obsession with Light, whiteness, rightness, and ascension.

8 weeks of creative writing classes for adults, with layers of ritual and occult practice
Week One: Darkness
Ninety-five percent of all that exists does not interact with light or is obscured. Dark matter, dark energy, the Dao's own xuan, mysterious and unseen, exists fractally in outerspace, on Earth, and in our own bodies. Glissant's right to opacity, Bataille's informe, the refusal to resolve into a legible shape. The Church's obsession with light, whiteness's self-referential proximity to it, producing the problems of "light and love." Goya's own darkest paintings.
Week Two: The Heretic
Marguerite Porete, Joan of Arc, Li Zhi, imprisoned by the Ming court for "disseminating heterodox ideas," who titled his own book A Book to Burn, and died in his cell awaiting trial. Heresy as the toll charged to whoever refused to pretend and play along. Chaos magic's oldest axiom, nothing is true, everything is permitted.
Week Three: The Villain and The Monster
The hated, the feared, the envied. Scapegoats, witches, Girard's mechanism: the villain as the myths culture builds out of unaligned motivations and unshared histories. Accused bodies for "marks," moles, evidence a community builds to justify biases. Marvel characters.
Week Four: Revenge
Personal and relational grievance, debt, reckoning. The nine-tailed fox, shapeshifting spirit of East Asian folklore. Bao, the older Chinese law of reciprocity: what leaves eventually returns, harm repaid in harm. Nemesis. Schadenfreude.
Week Five: Bane
Wolfsbane, henbane, belladonna. Lies, control, and autonomy of body, plants criminalized and licensed back to authorities.
Week Six: Perversity
The unnatural, the deviant, exiling from the normative. Transgression as the sacred's other half. Inventing sin as debt to pay.
Week Seven: Pollution
Morality and purity as distortion. Out of place dirt, disorder, contagion, Mary Douglas's Purity and Danger. Trad wives, fundamentalists, fascism.
Week Eight: Evil
On what’s not "good." Hannah Arendt's banality. The unfeeling.

WRONG: Yin Rites as Heretic, Villain & Perverse
is an eight-week interdisciplinary writing course built on a refusal, the old assumptions that whatever can be measured, seen, and named is the whole of what's real. Physics has already conceded otherwise, as ninety-five percent of what exists gives off no light / does not interact with it. WRONG treats that fact as method, and confirmation of the long understood Daoist insight about Yin.
The series treats each of eight historically condemned charges, heresy, villainy, revenge, bane, perversity, pollution, and evil, as a technique to study rather than a flaw to correct, tracing every one back through documents, media, arts, myth and the occult. It is about releasing the suppressed darkness the West spent centuries training itself to fear.

All classes are conducted on Zoom with recordings for those who cannot attend live-stream. Live-participation is encouraged, but not required.
Each of the 8 weeks consists of four parts:A live rite opens the charge and lectures its history.
Writing prompts/ tests that charge against your own experiences or observations, that you can further work/reworked between sessions.
A piece of studied media, or other pop culture reference, supplies the evidence, myth, or other example.
When applicable, other creative activity or a second rite.
Group shares and discussion.

For the weirdo and non-normative, or the normie who wants to leave their gilded cage and become re-aquainted with a deeper sense of spiritual and relational vitality.
Whoever already carries one of these eight words like a verdict rather than a fact. Heretic for believing wrong. Villain for acting wrong. Perverse for wanting wrong. Unclean for standing too close to what already got named wrong. In this series, we are less interested whether the charge was accurate but why such accusations happen in the first place, and how it relates to power, dominance, oppression, personal and collective maturation, and connection with the Unseen and Mystery. -
This series will be facilitated by Mimi Young, a Taiwanese Canadian Daoist-occultist, who will present both western and eastern ideas.

The interdisciplinary creative writing series begin January 18, 2027.
All sessions are on Mondays from 6-8PM PDT (GMT-7)* and are conducted on Zoom with recordings.

Recordings of each session will be uploaded to the cloud within 24 hours after the weekly class has concluded. It is up to the participant to download the class onto their devices so they can refer to it in perpetuity.
