UGLY WORDS is a container of decay and the liminal that explores the shadowy aspects of Yin, encouraging us to engage with writing as ritual, fostering personal transformation and creative expression by embracing themes of ugliness, endings, emotional wound tending, and grief. Relating with the animated word, these allies take us places that are unfamiliar or do not yet exist, and can also return us to sites that need reconciling or tending. Words spoken aloud or silently written allows us to surrender, decompose, and re-create our identity that ultimately fertilizes our heart-minds, our art, our finances, our career, our intimate relationships, and the greater world.
With embodied writing practices and a focus on embracing imperfection, we're witnessed and resourced to navigate life’s challenges, heal, and reconnect with the Seen and Unseen realms. Sitting with these these prepares and resources us for re-emergence.
DURATION
This 6-part creative writing course is 2 hours each, totalling 12 hours in space holding, insights, and writing prompts.

FINANCIAL ACCESSIBILITY
Partial Scholarships are available in limited amounts, with priority given to folks who are Black, Indigenous, of Colour, queer, trans, non-binary, folks who are neuro-divergent, have disabilities (different abilities), or are single parents in need of support.
