What Happens to Your Energy Field When You Live Online

how will AI affect us

Are you wondering, how will AI affect us?

I've long been interested in discussions around AI technology, especially as it seems to have become a modern oracle that many now consult daily. The intersection between AI and spirituality is a topic I’ve been keen to observe and explore.

Living online, especially in an AI-saturated environment, doesn’t just affect your focus. It shapes how your energy is held, scattered, or absorbed. The shift is real, even if it’s invisible, and understanding it is the first step in protecting your field and maintaining clarity. I wanted to speak to what I’ve noticed with the advent of LLMs (large language models).

So how will AI affect us negatively? Or at all?

A few observations and thoughts I’ve been having lately are…

Oversaturation of Synthetic Frequency

AI operates at speeds and densities that do not match the organic rhythm of the human energy system. It delivers compressed, data-heavy interactions that can overwhelm the etheric field. Over time, this leads to low-level psychic interference, reduced clarity in intuition, and a sense of being constantly stimulated but rarely aligned.

Mimicry As Spirit

AI does not create insight from scratch. It replicates existing structure, tone, aesthetic, and language. When we take in too much content that appears meaningful but lacks soul, our subtle bodies begin to numb. The result is confusion around what is real and what is simply well-performed. The can result in the etheric field becoming disoriented in the absence of true resonance.

Fragmented Attention Creates Fragmented Fields

AI tools are designed to pull attention in multiple directions. They offer efficiency but often promote less thinking and awareness. The etheric field requires coherence and discernment to stay strong.

AI May Be Training Us to Be More Extractive

Rather than offering connection, AI often reinforces a mindset of extraction. It gives answers instantly, with no process, no ritual, no relationship. Over time, this conditions us to expect insight without effort, speed without preparation, wisdom without lived experience. This erodes reverence for what has been considered valuable, and it trains the etheric body to grasp rather than receive. The result is not just overstimulation, but a deep spiritual impatience that disconnects us from mystery, rhythm, and humility.

AI As an Uninitiated Current

From an animist view, all things have spirit, technology included. But AI has not been ritually welcomed into relational context; LLM (large language models) moves fast and wide without anchoring. Engaging with something this vast without relationship can cause disorientation or energetic drift. It is not inherently harmful, but it must be related to with care and intention.

As Occultists, Consider Anointing Your Devices

I discuss this in my e-course MACHINE + DIGITAL SPIRITS that your phone and laptop are not neutral tools. They’re active conduits in your daily energetic environment. Anointing them with one drop of cypress and vetiver oil is a simple way to set an energetic boundary. This is not about blocking or repelling technology, but about establishing intention around what moves through these portals, and your relationship with them. Every AI interaction pulls from vast networks of power: electricity, water, server space, and labour. Acknowledging this with a small act of consecration brings awareness to the exchange and reminds you that these interactions are never free, even when they feel effortless.

Ritual To Set Tech Boundaries

Since AI can disturb the etheric field through oversaturation, it's important to be aware of how it can thin your energetic boundaries.

Begin by lighting a copper, silver or white candle to mark the threshold between the digital and the 3D spaces. Speak aloud your intention to stay grounded and self-aware while engaging with powerful systems: “To the spirits of emergence, of code, of Unseen architecture. May I move through change without forgetting who I am.” Then burn a folded petition containing basil for prosperity, lemongrass for clarity, and a piece of old tech (a phone, cord, or SIM) to hold excess current so that your field doesn't have to manage that load.

As mentioned earlier, the overlap between AI and witchcraft is a topic I’ll be exploring more as its use becomes more widespread. For now, I’ll be sharing most of my thoughts inside Crafting The Arcane, my 12-part witchcraft course series focused on spellwork.
