Menstrual blood or semen as connectors between creative work, nurturing and healing, acceleration, and in certain contexts, for resolution.

Ways to Honour Domestic Spirits on the Winter Solstice and the Yin Season

Invite the Spirits to a Winter Solstice Ritual or other seasonal observances, such as Lunar New Year celebrations

Hold a small ceremony that acknowledges the domestic spirits’ role in your life.

Include gestures like ringing bells or pouring libations to signal their welcome.

Hello! My name is Mimi Young, and I’m a Taiwanese Canadian animist spirit medium, occultist, and the founder of Ceremonie, servicing Los Angeles to New York and Vancouver to Toronto, teaching occult studies, as well as providing dream interpretations and spirit guidance services. I collaborate with brands such as goop and the Salem Witch Festival, and am also a poet, SEO copywriter and business strategist, and stylist. Based in Vancouver on the ancestral traditional lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, Ceremonie gratefully serves a global community, while remaining rooted in animist, decolonizing perspectives and intersectionality.
