SHAMANIC ANCESTRAL CONNECTION (INTENSIVE)

October 27, 2019
2:00PM-6:00PM PST
Dharma Temple,
3283 Main Street, Vancouver

We are in relationship with our ancestors whether we are aware of it or not. Epigenetics (the study of heritable changes in gene expression) have concluded that the experiences, emotions, and beliefs that your lineage(s) have had remain in your own cellular memory - and can impact your life both positively and negatively.

In discovering, naming, and healing ancestral trauma and bloodlines, and in claiming and acknowledging the strengths and gifts of our own diverse family history, we can step into vibrant and whole levels of belonging and wisdom. We can become grounded in who we are as individual humans and our personal purpose within the backdrop of life.

Many cultures around the world value relationship with ancestors as an act of reverence of life and a way to be accountable to Earth and each other. For many in the West, this tradition has been deemed 'demonic', 'dangerous, or simply 'delusional', but this severed connection with conscious ancestral guidance can present wounds that play out generation after generation, as well as a sense of division (me vs them, us vs them mindsets).

Join Mimi Young, shamanic medicine teacher + ritualist, for a 4 hour course on Shamanic Ancestral Connection. This is an in-depth, intensive course where we will go over wisdom and well as have opportunity to experience ways to make ancestral connection. We will:

  • Discuss how our modern brain and gut contain access points to ancestral and cellular healing

  • Learn how to embark on guided and taught shamanic journeys to explore, learn about, heal from, and shift into a wider view of humanity and life, and can examine the various inheritance wounds we have and transform them into strengths.

  • Discover how to reconnect with beloved family members who have passed on via ritual, shamanic journeying, (non-entheogenic) plant medicine, and dream practises.

  • Accessing and expand your theta brain waves (where old experiences, memory, trauma, and belief are stored) to further support this empowering work through trance and shamanic art.

  • The New Moon date is intentionally selected as it’s near Samhain / Halloween / Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos), a potent time of the year when the veil is thinnest between this reality and spirit realms.

THE MANY SACRED FACES OF THE GODDESS

November 26, 2019
7:00PM-9:00PM PST
Flowstate Hair Design,
608-55 Water Street, Vancouver

Discuss and give honour to the role of beauty, adornment, and Goddess archetypes that will illuminate your own spiritual path.

We’ve all been there.

The inexplicable purging of our closets and changing our wardrobe;

Or the obsession about a specific colour;

Or the break up hair cut;

Or a dramatically different skincare regimen;

Or the lipstick costume change - from reds to nudes or vice versa.

Or the whole ‘new look, new me’.

Some may think you’re just shopping a lot lately or obsessed about style, but have you wondered the spiritual reasons behind all this?

Could it be that you are (consciously or not) working with the power of archetypes and the many faces of the Goddess?

What if these external “symptoms” reveal where you are on your spiritual journey, and are invitations from the Goddess herself to work with her and her through you?

Mimi Young (Shamanic Practitioner and founder of CEREMONIE) and Ana Luisa Valdes (Hair Artist + HairApist of FlowState Hair Design) invite you to attend THE MANY SACRED FACES OF THE GODDESS, an intimate evening that will discuss and give honour to the power of beauty, adornment, and Goddess archetypes that will illuminate your own spiritual path.

What to expect:

With Mimi Young learn —

  • Key Goddess archetypes that appear over the course of our lives.

  • Specific and practical medicines each face of the Goddess offers to you.

  • How to recognize the Goddess’ whispers and messages, and what they mean.

  • What specific articles of clothing, jewelry, colours, styles, and other objects of adornment symbolize spiritually.

  • Simple, effective rituals that celebrate and invoke specific archetypes as part of your daily life.

  • With the group, engage in a 3-part ceremony that powerfully invoked the Triple Goddess into your very being and life.

Bonus:

With Ana Luisa Valdes —

  • Hear stories about women, their image, and their transformations

  • Suggestions on how working with hair as a powerful identity symbol

THE I CHING + TEA CEREMONY: Tea and Foundations in the Ancient Chinese Oracle

SOLD OUT!

Tea and Foundations in the Ancient Chinese Oracle

Tea + tea ceremonies are meaningful practices found all around the world. In Chinese cultures, tea and the rituals surrounding tea go back beyond Buddhism, Confucianism, and Daoism, to Chinese shamanism, otherwise known as Wuism. Shamans and sorceresses would pick leaves in the mountains nearby temples, dry them, make them into tea, which were then used during meditation, divination, and sorcery. Tea is plant medicine.

It is from these same roots, that the I Ching (The Book of Changes), the oldest Chinese divination text and philosophical system was conceived. Said to be birthed and used from ~1150 BCE, the oracle still provides inspiration to faith, psychoanalysis, philosophy, agriculture, higher mathematics and quantum physics, law, art and literature.

Join shamanic medicine teacher and ritualist, Mimi Young of Ceremonie and experience the foundation of the I Ching, including the sacred synchronicities of numbers, Yin and Yang mysteries, and the elements according to ancient Chinese shamanism. Understand how these powerful, practical tools can be used to empower and enhance our everyday life. We will integrate the experience with a tea ceremony, led by Sara Jade Gooding of Dharma Temple with prompts by Mimi. Discover how tea is both a conduit and a container for the ancient mysteries of the sacred and the mundane.

Please note that there are 10 spots available for this event.

Investment: $65

Includes: Introduction to I Ching principles, take-home Companion Booklet containing key points written by Mimi Young, tea and other ceremony materials
