We are in relationship with our ancestors whether we are aware of it or not. Epigenetics (the study of heritable changes in gene expression) have concluded that the experiences, emotions, and beliefs that your lineage(s) have had remain in your own cellular memory - and can impact your life both positively and negatively.
In discovering, naming, and healing ancestral trauma and bloodlines, and in claiming and acknowledging the strengths and gifts of our own diverse family history, we can step into vibrant and whole levels of belonging and wisdom. We can become grounded in who we are as individual humans and our personal purpose within the backdrop of life.
Many cultures around the world value relationship with ancestors as an act of reverence of life and a way to be accountable to Earth and each other. For many in the West, this tradition has been deemed 'demonic', 'dangerous, or simply 'delusional', but this severed connection with conscious ancestral guidance can present wounds that play out generation after generation, as well as a sense of division (me vs them, us vs them mindsets).
Join Mimi Young, shamanic medicine teacher + ritualist, for a 4 hour course on Shamanic Ancestral Connection. This is an in-depth, intensive course where we will go over wisdom and well as have opportunity to experience ways to make ancestral connection. We will:
Discuss how our modern brain and gut contain access points to ancestral and cellular healing
Learn how to embark on guided and taught shamanic journeys to explore, learn about, heal from, and shift into a wider view of humanity and life, and can examine the various inheritance wounds we have and transform them into strengths.
Discover how to reconnect with beloved family members who have passed on via ritual, shamanic journeying, (non-entheogenic) plant medicine, and dream practises.
Accessing and expand your theta brain waves (where old experiences, memory, trauma, and belief are stored) to further support this empowering work through trance and shamanic art.
Safety and ethics around using shamanism as a tool for self awareness and healing
Tips on how to support your aftercare
